Mass Times

No Public Masses

In an unprecedented move, Scotland’s Catholic bishops have announced that with effect from Thursday 19th March, no public Masses will be celebrated in Scotland. In a statement release on Wednesday 18th March the bishops announced, that priests would continue to celebrate Holy Mass in private, praying for those suffering from Covid-19 and those who care for them.

Mass Live Streams

It is possible to get live streams of privately held Masses in Scotland via the internet.

A good example would be St Andrew’s Cathedral, Glasgow who broadcast Masses daily.

Monday to Saturday
08.15am, 1pm and 5.15pm (5.15pm Saturday is a Sunday Vigil)

Sunday
10am, 12 noon, 5.15pm

While not replacing Mass or our Sunday obligation these broadcasts may act as a focus for meditation on the Word of God.
